The May 2007 Uganda Project

In May 2007 10 volunteers from accross Ireland will travel to the Mbarara region in Uganda to build homes for families that have been displaced due to the wars and rebellions that have taken place in that region over the last few decades. The volunteers will be assisted by the charity Habitiat for Humanity, who coordinate projects like this throughout the world. Each volunteer faces the challenge of raising the cost of building a 350sq foot home. The volunteers will then travel to Uganda in May and assist in the construction of the homes. The volunteers will work on the construction for 14 days at the end of that period the homes will be completed and a displaced family will have a home. We need your help to help these families.
